Why is my fish breathing upside down?
My brother has many fish in a tank with a divider.
Today he took the african cichlid and he put him on the side with the medium sized Jack Dempsey. The African Cichlid was swimming all fine adn very normal but after my brother put him there with Jack Dempsey we found the African fish straight down, tail up.
My brother then put the African fish on the normal side and he seemed to have a hard time swimming, like balancing himself.
He is now upside down on his back but breathing
What could be wrong?
bad water quality maybe, hes sick from something. happened to my fish before. I used to have a tons of aquariums and have most of my life. Its really hard to heal that. I'd suggest being extra careful and change the water at least. about half of it of cours enot all of it, causes fish to go into shock.
